Kohima, 7 May (MTNews): The Directorate of School Education has issued a cautionary notice to government schools regarding the charging of excess fees. The department stated that it had been brought to its attention that a few government schools were charging fees exceeding those notified on 17 June 2022 which was issued with the approval of the government.
Despite a reiteration of the fees in a notification issued on 25 January this year, the department once again emphasized that schools providing uniforms must obtain approval for rates from the respective School Management and Development Committees (SMDCs). Additionally, the department reminded that fees for the Nagaland Board of School Education will be in accordance with the notifications being issued by the Board from time to time.
The education department has cautioned all concerned parties to strictly adhere to its notified fee structure.
