The Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has issued a consolidated notification inviting applications for the National Teachers Award 2025, District/State Teachers Award 2025, and financial assistance for teachers facing severe hardships.
As per the Ministry of Education’s directive dated 23 June 2025, the web portal for online self-nomination for the National Teachers Award is open from 23 June to 15 July 2025. Only regular teachers and heads of schools with at least ten years of service are eligible. Teachers who have significantly contributed to improving the quality of education and positively impacted students’ lives are encouraged to submit their self-nomination through the portal: www.nationalawardstoteachers.education.gov.in
Meanwhile, the District/State Teachers Award 2025 is open to teachers serving in both Government and Private Schools following the State curriculum. Nominations can be made by administrative officers, heads of institutions, or NGOs involved in education at the village, subdivision, or district levels. Forms and eligibility criteria are available at District Education Offices and on the department’s official website.
The DoSE has also called for applications for financial assistance from teachers (Government and Private, State curriculum) who are permanently disabled, undergoing prolonged treatment for terminal illnesses, or affected by natural calamities and have not received aid from other sources. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format available on the department’s website.
The last date for submitting nomination forms for financial assistance at the respective DEO/SDEO offices is 20 July 2025.
All DEOs, Sr. SDEOs, and SDEOs have been requested to ensure wide publicity of these initiatives.
