Mokokchung, September 21 (MTNews): In a notification released from the Directorate of School Education (DoSE), the Heads of all Government Schools functioning within the State of Nagaland have been directed to not engage proxies against teachers serving under their establishments under any circumstances.

 

Further, they were directed to display photographs of all teaching staffs along with their names imprinted/affixed in the staff room/ school premises prominently.

 

The teachers have also been asked to sign the attendance register in the same manner as they have appended their signature in their Service Book or Joining Report.

 

The DEOs/Sr, SDOs/SDEOs have also been directed to conduct surprise checking at schools under their jurisdiction and ensure that no proxies are engaged by their staffs.

 

The notification further quoted Rule 4 (2) (i) of the Nagaland Government Servant Conduct Rules, 1968 and reiterated that, in the event of detection of engagement of proxies by any school staff during the surprise checking conducted by the officials of the District Administration and DoSE, disciplinary action will be initiated against the concerned Heads and DEOs/Sr. SDEOs/SDEOs along with those teachers engaging proxies, for violation of the aforesaid rule.
