Dimapur, 30 January (MTNews): The monthly meeting of the District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Dimapur was held under the chairmanship of Advisor, Labour, Employment & Skill Development and Excise, and Chairman DPDB Dimapur, Moatoshi Longkumer at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Dimapur on 29 January.
During the meeting, DC Dimapur, Dr Tinojongshi Chang, reminded the members to rededicate themselves to their assigned duties for the upliftment of the district. He also informed the members about the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games scheduled to be held from 13th to 17th February 2024 in Dimapur and Chumoukedima districts.
The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) requested DPDB Dimapur to fund the cost of transportation and other logistics. In response, the 3 MLAs of Dimapur district and the Government departments resolved to contribute and help the NOA.
Advisor Moatoshi opined that all heads of offices are responsible when such events take place in Dimapur and advised them to render their services.
Advisor Hekani was optimistic that 2024 would be a more fruitful year for Dimapur district. Other highlights of the meeting included a review of the last DPDB minutes, society registration, and the inclusion of Sr. SDEOs, Directorate of School Education in DPDB meetings. The meeting ended with a note of thanks from the chair.
