Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) former speaker Dr Chotisuh Sazo inaugurated the Yorübami Women Welfare Society (YWWS) building at Yoruba village near Chozuba in Phek district today.

Dr Sazo described the new building as “a beacon of hope and empowerment,” urging it to be a space where “ideas grow, skills flourish, and lives transform.” He praised YWWS for empowering women, promoting self-reliance, and strengthening the community.

Highlighting the progress of women, Dr. Sazo noted increased female participation in education, entrepreneurship, leadership, and local governance. He also called on women to blend tradition with innovation, especially in farming, to ensure sustainable development.

YWWS chairperson Küvesetalii Lohe offered greetings, and Sayinülü Nyekha chaired the event.
