In the ongoing Dr T Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 2) at Chümoukedima, two decisive Group B matches on November 25 saw Uttarakhand and Punjab deliver commanding victories over Andaman & Nicobar and hosts Nagaland, respectively. Both wins were marked by dominant performances, but only Punjab secured a place in the semifinals.
Uttarakhand overwhelmed Andaman & Nicobar with a staggering 9–0 scoreline. From the outset, Uttarakhand controlled the match with 69% ball possession and a remarkable 32 shots on target.
The highlight was Khushi Pal’s extraordinary double hat-trick, scoring six goals in the 2nd, 17th, 36th, 57th, 78th, and 90th minutes. Shruti added a goal in the 21st minute, and Ku Varsha wrapped up the scoring with two late strikes in the 89th and 90+4 minutes. Andaman & Nicobar struggled throughout, managing only one off-target shot and failing to trouble Uttarakhand’s defence.
In the day’s second match, Punjab beat Nagaland 7–0 with a balanced and clinical display. Punjab maintained 54% possession and launched continuous attacks, registering 12 shots on target.
Nisha opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Forward Joya was the star performer with four goals scored at 45+4’, 53’, 66’, and 86’, demonstrating excellent positioning and finishing. Harmeen contributed two goals at the 73rd and 83rd minutes. Despite their efforts, Nagaland struggled to mount any significant offence, managing just one off-target shot and unable to breach Punjab’s solid defence. Punjab’s discipline was reflected in their low foul count and control of the game tempo.
