Heavy vehicles plying on the Mokokchung-Ungma-Tuensang Road (NH-202) have been directed to divert via the Mokokchung-Chare Road (NH bypass) from October 12 to 29 in view of the 25th Dr. T. Ao Inter-District Football Trophy.
The travel advisory was issued by Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, citing public safety, smooth traffic management and the convenience of participating teams, officials, spectators and other road users during the tournament.
All transport operators and heavy vehicle drivers have been directed to strictly comply with the advisory, which came into effect on October 12 and will remain in force until October 29.
The Deputy Commissioner has also sought the cooperation of the public and all concerned to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the tournament.
