Uttar Pradesh secured a convincing 6-1 win over Tripura in Match 15 of the Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025-26 (Tier 2) held at Chümoukedima on Wednesday.
Uttar Pradesh dominated the match from the start, maintaining 54 percent possession and creating numerous chances with 15 shots on target. The team’s high-possession, high-pressing style overwhelmed Tripura’s defense.
Mansi opened the scoring early in the 4th minute and added a second goal just before halftime in the 44th minute. Divya also contributed with a goal in the 17th minute. Tripura’s Breejia scored in the 32nd minute, giving her side a brief boost.
In the second half, Uttar Pradesh increased their pressure. Anjali Yadav scored in the 49th minute, and Mansi completed her hat-trick with a goal in the 61st minute. Tripura’s Dhanita scored an own goal in the 71st minute, rounding off the final score.
Tripura showed determination despite limited chances, managing two shots on target. Breejia’s goal was a highlight for the team.
