The Duncan Bosti Lotha fraternity celebrated Tokhvu Emong with warmth and joy on November 7, 2025, at the LBCD Duncan-Court Sector Church compound. The program, chaired by Mr. Penathung Kithan, Vice Chairman of the Duncan Bosti Lotha Ekhung (DBLE), began with a prayer by Eramo Tsanthungo Patton invoking Tokhvu blessings upon all.
Mr. Lichio Kithan, Secretary, DBLE, delivered the welcome address, followed by a minute of silence in remembrance of departed members. Rev. Dr. Yanbemo Lotha, Pastor of Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, invoked God’s blessings and prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity among all citizens and DBLE members on the occasion of Ematha Tokhvu 2025.
DBLE Chairman Mr. T. L. Merry expressed heartfelt gratitude to all residents of Duncan Bosti for their cooperation and support in building a peaceful and harmonious community. He made special mention of the elderly citizens whose presence continues to strengthen unity. Duncan Bosti Council Chairman, Mr. Wojamo Yanthan, extended festive greetings and encouraged the younger Lotha generation to preserve and promote their rich cultural heritage.
The celebration featured various presentations, including a narration on the significance of Tokhvu Emong by Mr. M. Y. Ngullie, Head GB of Duncan Bosti, and a brief address by Mr. Chumben Mozhui, in-charge of the Duncan Bosti Lotha Youth Ekhung. Cultural performances and Tokhvu-themed songs by Mr. Rhonbemo Humtsoe and Miss Priscilla Ngullie enlivened the gathering.
Mr. Liren Tsopoe, Secretary of the DBLE Tokhvu Committee, presented a brief account of the Tokhvu 2025 finances and expressed gratitude to the sponsors, including Mr. and Mrs. Mhathung Yanthan, MLA and Advisor for Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, Mr. and Mrs. Libanthung Lotha (IAS Retd.), Mr. and Mrs. James Kinghen (DIG, Naga), Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Ovung, Dr. and Mrs. Renchamo Kikon, Mr. and Mrs. Thungdemo Mozhui, and Dr. and Mrs. Robin Mozhui.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Zubemo Kithan, Treasurer, followed by a mass spoken prayer and benediction by Mr. Tsenchibemo Lotha (IFS Retd.). Mrs. Lozano Tsopoe then blessed the grand Tokhvu feast that brought the joyous celebration to a close.
