Chumoukedima, 9 February (MTNews): The Department of Political Science at St. Joseph University, Chumoukedima, in collaboration with e-CIRCLE, conducted an e-waste collection drive on 9 February. The primary objective of the collection drive was to raise awareness among students and create a ripple effect in society at large regarding the importance of proper disposal of e-waste.
This initiative was also integrated into the Community Engagement and Services course under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Plans are underway to extend such drives to nearby university wards and villages.
Dr Achanger and Dr Moameren Pongen played pivotal roles in coordinating the collection drive, collaborating with e-CIRCLE founders Ms Bendangwala Walling and Ms Sowete Letro.
