During the meeting, leaders deliberated on issues concerning the oneness of the Naga people and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening unity, brotherhood and cooperation while safeguarding the rights, interests and aspirations of the Naga people.

Following deliberations, the meeting unanimously resolved that until a proper common platform is formed, the Eastern Nagaland Tribal Hohos would also be inducted into the NTHCC to pursue common Naga issues collectively.

The meeting further stated that the NTHCC would comprise representatives from the 15 tribes of Nagaland – Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Lotha, Phom, Pochury, Rengma, Sangtam, Sümi, Tikhir, Yimkhiung and Zeliang.

The consultative meeting also selected Thejao Vihienuo as Convenor, Throngso Yimkhiung as Co-Convenor and Dr Vihuto Asumi as Secretary.

The meeting appealed to the Nagas and Kukis in Manipur to work toward a peaceful resolution rather than confrontation and urged both groups to release innocent hostages without delay, stating that such acts are against humanity.

The meeting also appealed to the Government of Nagaland to implement the tripartite Memorandum of Agreement signed between the Government of India, the Government of Nagaland and the ENPO at the earliest.
