Mokokchung, 28 June (MTNews): The Eastern Sumi Hoho (ESH) will be holding a peace rally in Seyochung, Kiphire on 29 June. The ESH is learnt to be holding the rally to demonstrate their demand for the merger of their area with Zunheboto district and to exclude the ESH area from the proposed Frontier Naga Territory arrangement and to have the population census and electoral rolls from ESH areas transferred to Zunheboto.

Meanwhile, the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has shared its concern and expressed its “full solidarity with our Eastern Sumi Hoho” in their decision to observe a peace rally tomorrow at Seyochung. The Western Sumi Hoho also appealed to all the churches in the western Sumi area to have a “special prayer to seek God’s wisdom, direction and guidance to solve the present imbroglio” in the best possible way. “May God give wisdom and unity to our leaders and people,” it added.
