The Election Commission has provided another opportunity to electors whose names were excluded from the Draft Electoral Roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) despite being issued Enumeration Forms, allowing them to seek inclusion in the Final Electoral Roll.SIR
In a letter issued on November 6, the Commission directed the Chief Electoral Officers of Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Telangana and Nagaland to republish the lists of electors marked as Absent, Shifted, Dead and Duplicate and facilitate submission of their Enumeration Forms.
Booth Level Officers have been directed to contact the affected electors and assist them in completing the process, including online submission through the ECINET platform.
Special provisions have also been made for electors who have shifted residence within the state and homeless persons.
