The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce the schedule of general elections to the Legislative Assemblies of Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura assembly elections on Wednesday.
The Commission has convened a press conference at 2.30 pm in New Delhi for the purpose.
While Tripura is ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the BJP is part of the ruling coalition in Meghalaya and Nagaland.
The term of the three assemblies is ending on different dates in March.
