Kohima, December 7 (MTNews): Eight tribal bodies of Nagaland have appealed to the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) to reconsider its demand for a ‘separate entity’ so that Naga people can “live and move ahead together as one for posterity.”
Leaders of the Angami Public Organisation, Ao Senden, Lotha Hoho, Chakhesang Public Organisation, Sümi Hoho, Rengma Hoho, Pochury Hoho and Nagaland Zeliang Public Organisation held a consultative meeting on December 7 at APO Hall in Kohima during which they discussed the issue pertaining to the ENPO’s demand, a press release informed.
“The house is of the opinion that as Nagas, it is desirable that every Nagas should live as one in one umbrella. Further, disintegration of Naga society and demarcation of our land will cause more harm than good for the Nagas,” stated the release issued by Ao Senden President & Sessional Chairman Chubawati Longchar and Sümi Hoho General Secretary & Sessional Secretary Dr Vihuto Asumi.
