The Adventure and Motorsports Association (AMAM) announced on Thursday the much-anticipated motorsport event—the eighth edition of Mokokchung AutoX & Sprint 2025. The event will be held at Yimchula, a tourist village in Mokokchung, AMAM announced in a press release. The event, slated to take place over two days, on January 17th and 18th, will showcase exhilarating races across three competitive categories: Open, Below 1300, and SUV.
The event will feature adrenaline-pumping AutoX races on a gravel and dirt track (wet/dry) at the Sungratsu Sports Complex, where racers will demonstrate their speed and skill. Furthermore, the excitement will be ramped up with Sprint races on a challenging pure tarmac track (wet/dry), pushing participants to their limits.
Categories and Prize Money:
• Open Category: Rs 70,000 (1st place), Rs 40,000 (2nd place), Rs 30,000 (3rd place)
• Below 1300 Category: Rs 40,000 (1st place), Rs 30,000 (2nd place), Rs 20,000 (3rd place)
• SUV Category: Rs 40,000 (1st place), Rs 30,000 (2nd place), Rs 20,000 (3rd place)
To make the event even more electrifying, AMAM has introduced a brand-new feature: Open Motocross (Local), giving the local racing community a chance to showcase their talents.
This year’s edition is even more significant as the 8th Mokokchung AutoX & Sprint 2025 will serve as the second round for the North-East Championships 3.0 (2025), drawing top racers from across the region in a fierce battle for the championship title.
