Administration releases updated rolls to parties; public access enabled ahead of upcoming bye-poll

The final electoral roll for 28-Koridang Assembly Constituency under Mokokchung district was officially published on February 14 following completion of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2026 with reference to the qualifying date January 1, 2026, in view of the forthcoming bye-election.

The final publication was declared during a meeting held at the ADC’s Office Chamber attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Electoral Registration Officer, representatives of recognised political parties and election branch officials.

Officials informed that the list of amendments had been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, and the final electoral roll along with amendments had been made available for public inspection.
As per the final published roll, the total number of electors in 28-Koridang AC stands at 22,390.

General electors number 22,266, including 11,253 male and 11,013 female voters. Service electors total 124, including 123 male and one female elector.

During the meeting, officials handed over copies of the final electoral roll in both hard and soft copy formats (without photographs) to representatives of political parties. The administration requested political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents at polling stations to facilitate coordination and ensure smooth conduct of the electoral process ahead of the bye-election.

Representatives of recognized political parties acknowledged receipt of the electoral rolls and assured cooperation with the administration in the run-up to the upcoming poll.

The final electoral rolls can be viewed or downloaded from the official websites of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland and the Election Commission of India.

Officials reiterated their commitment to conducting a free, fair, transparent and inclusive electoral process and appealed to all stakeholders to extend cooperation for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming bye-election in 28-Koridang AC.
