Kohima, 6 July (MTNews): Minister and Spokesperson of Nagaland Government KG Kenye said that negotiations regarding the demands of ENPO (Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization) are nearing completion, and that preparations for the proposed concept are in progress. This was informed through a press release following a meeting between Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s delegation and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.

Kenye stated that this period will establish a roadmap that defines the ultimate status and structure of the new entity. Kenye highlighted that the process would be tripartite, involving the state government at every stage and for all purposes henceforth, aiming to reach a detailed and final tripartite agreement.

 

Regarding the Naga Political Dialogue and peace talks, the delegation urged the Union Minister to expedite the resolution and settlement of the issue.

 

Additionally, the state government requested the clearance of developmental projects in the state, to which the Union Home Minister assured that pending major proposals from the PDA (People’s Democratic Alliance) government would be promptly approved.
