Tuensang, January 18 (MTNews): The Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF) called for an emergency presidential meeting today at Tuensang Headquarter, “Sensing a potential threat in the quest for Frontier Statehood demand.”
According to an ENSF press release received here, the August house of the ENSF unanimously resolved that all officials of the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation and the seven Federating Units – Chang Wedoshi Setshang, Khiamniungan Students’ Union, Konyak Students’ Union, Phom Students’ Conference, Tikhir Students’ Union, United Sangtam Students’ Conference, and Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako – holding any designated post should resign or withdraw from any political entity and affiliation.
Furthermore, the ENSF endorsed the 7 federating Units to strictly implement the same to all of its units once the declaration is made by the federation. According to the federation, this decision was made after considering the importance of the continuous strong demand for Frontier Nagaland statehood.
The federation in another release has directed all the Federating Units of ENSF and Subordinate bodies, as was resolved during the emergency presidential meeting, to strictly implement the 19th December 2022 letter which stated, “Any Officials of ENSF, Federating Units and its Units holding any designated post are directed to resign or withdraw from any political entity and affiliation at the earliest.”
