Hill Sight Homestay officially opened on October 2, 2025 at DC Hill, Sangtemla Ward, Mokokchung, below the Commissioner’s Guest House, offering visitors an affordable and comfortable stay in Mokokchung.
The homestay features six rooms, including four bedrooms, a kitchen, and a sitting room. Guests can rent the entire property for Rs 6,000 per day, or book individual rooms. Room rates are Rs 2,000 for a king-sized bed, Rs 1,500 for a queen-sized bed, and Rs 1,000 for a single bed. Guests can order meals from the kitchen, which primarily serves traditional Ao dishes, or prepare their own food.
Proprietors Longpok Longkumer and Mendilong Ao said the initiative was aimed at making stays in Mokokchung more affordable. “We wanted people visiting Mokokchung to have a comfortable and budget-friendly stay,” they said.
The homestay provides 24×7 electricity, Wi-Fi, and family-friendly facilities. Reservations are also available for weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. Check-ins are available from 8 a.m., with check-outs by 11 a.m. Discounts are offered for long-duration stays.
