Mokokchung, 15 January (MTNews): In pursuant to the letter dated the 9 January 2024 from the Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, the Nagaland Board of School Education has notified for information of all concerned that the Ministry has extended the timeline to 31-01-2024 for submission of application and verification of Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (PM-USP CSSS) on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for the Academic Year 2023-24.
The objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from poor families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.
Eligibility:
Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent are eligible.
Not availing benefit of any other scholarship schemes including State run scholarship schemes/ fee waiver & reimbursement scheme; Students with gross parental/family income upto Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum are eligible for scholarship under the scheme. Income certificate will be required only for the fresh applicants.
