The Eco Club of Fazl Ali College, sponsored by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized Santa’s Workshop – 6th Edition on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, at the college auditorium under the inspiring theme “Creating Joy the Green Way.”

The program began with an introductory note by Dr Temjensangla Pongener, Convenor of the Eco Club, who spoke about the vision and purpose of the club in promoting environmental awareness aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She also welcomed the Eco Club alumni from various batches who had come to share their skills, highlighting how the club has continued to grow as a community even beyond the college.
One of the alumni, Chubatola, shared her personal journey in the club and the valuable lessons she learned, urging the juniors to carry the legacy forward.
The workshop then moved into its main activities, divided into three creative learning stations – Waste to Wonder Craft Station, Green Gift Wrapping Booth, and Eco-friendly Christmas Décor – each offering hands-on experiences in crafting and creating sustainable festive items.
These stations were further divided into subcategories such as making Christmas ornaments, snowflakes, wreaths, gift bags, and intricate crochets out of recycled items, allowing participants to explore innovative ideas and techniques using eco-friendly materials.
“The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with joy, creativity, and a sense of shared responsibility toward the environment. Through this workshop, the Eco Club successfully combined the festive spirit with the message of sustainability, reminding everyone that joy can truly be created the green way,” an update received here stated.
