Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung organised Freshers’ Day for the first semester students of BA, B.Sc, and B.Com on 14th August under the theme Springboard: Towards a New Horizon. Considered one of the important annual events of the college, Freshers’ Day welcomes and celebrates the addition of new members into the Fazlian family.
On the occasion, Principal Dr. I. Wati Imchen invited the students to embrace every opportunity that challenges them and to step beyond their comfort zones, making the most of what college life has to offer. Yimdangjungla Jamir delivered a speech on behalf of the freshers, and Aosashi C. Kichu, General Secretary of FACSU, shared words of encouragement.
The glamour of the programme began with twenty contestants vying for the title of Mr. and Miss Fresher 2025, showcasing poise, elegance, confidence, and intelligence. Walunir K. Tsudir (B.Sc Chemistry) and Likhum Sangtam (BA Sociology) won the titles of Mr. and Miss Fresher, respectively.
The competition also conferred four sub-titles: Mr. and Miss Congeniality, Mr. and Miss Talented, Mr. and Miss Runway, and Best Ethnic Wear. The event featured performances by teachers and students, and was graced by Rev. Lima Lemdur, Pastor of Union Church FAC, who offered a special prayer for the freshers.
