Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung organized a one-day workshop on Work Ethics for Non-Teaching Staff on 12 May with Akok Walling, Retd. Principal, Dimapur Government College and Rev Sentimeren Jamir, Associate Pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo as the resource persons.

Rev Sentimeren Jamir (L) and  Akok Walling (R)

In the first session, Akok Walling spoke about the principles of work ethics. He stated four principles which included working for livelihood, working out of interest, working to serve and work as a calling.

He stated that when people work out of interest, work to serve and when people work as a calling, it bears real fruit. He also stated that while at work, if one is working only for the salary or for money, “they fail to contribute to the society and people might begin to start disregarding them which in turn will make them lonely.” He also encouraged the staff to become individuals whom people can trust.
