Mokokchung, April 30 (MTNews): Agricultural Technology Management Agency, Mokokchung under Ongpangkong South Block inaugurated a farm school on “Integrated Farming System” at Mangmetong Village on 30th of April 2022.
Imtitemsu, Agri Officer, DAO, Mokokchung and BTT Convener, ATMA Ongpangkong South Block highlighted on the importance of Integrated Farming System and its benefits. The farmers were enlightened with the intercropping techniques and encouraged planting of leguminous plants in their fields. Further, biological pest and disease control techniques were highlighted.
Altogether 25 farmers attended the Farm School training program. Inputs such as manure, hand hoe and biofertilizers were distributed to the farmers.
