Mokokchung, 11 May (MTNews): Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, bade farewell to the Class of 2023 by organizing their parting social on 10 May at the college auditorium under the theme “Novum Horizontem (New Horizon).”
Speeches and performances were given by both senior and junior students during the farewell program. Tushikaba, General Secretary, Fazl Ali College Students’ Union, represented the FACSU, while Dr Imcharenla, HoD, Dept of Economics, FAC, represented the academics.
Dr Imcharenla congratulated the graduating class on reaching an important life milestone, stating that it serves as a reminder of the challenges faced and overcome throughout the COVID-19 times.
She recounted the times when they devoted themselves to their studies amidst the pandemic, and how they remained focused on academic pursuits while demonstrating resilience and hard work, which is a testament to the power of perseverance.
She encouraged the students to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields as they embarked on a new adventure. She also pushed them to become responsible citizens who aspire to improve the lives of people around them.
Short speeches were delivered by Imkongwapang Longkumer, BA 6th Semester, and Kushe Shiu, BSc 6th Semester, on behalf of the outgoing students. Rev Lima Lemdur, Pastor, Union Church, FAC, also said a special prayer for the departing students.
