Mokokchung, 20 July (MTNews): Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung organized an orientation program for the students of the 1st Semester BA/BSc batch of 2023. The event was aimed to welcome and guide the freshers as they begin their journey in the college community.
Addressing the students during the orientation, the college principal, Dr I Wati Imchen, extended a warm welcome to the incoming students and congratulated them on becoming part of the vibrant and diverse college community. Dr Imchen urged the students to embrace new experiences, engage in provocative thinking, and actively participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. He emphasized the college’s commitment to providing top-quality education and ensuring the institution’s continuous growth.
Dr Imcharenla, Associate Professor and Convener of the Disciplinary Committee, spoke about the significance of discipline and maintaining decency and decorum on the college premises. She highlighted the college’s rules and regulations, urging all students to abide by them.
Ms I Narola Imchen, Assistant Professor and Convener of the Anti-Ragging Cell, reiterated the college’s strong stand against ragging and related offenses. She informed the students about the procedures to identify and report such incidents to the higher authorities.
The academic orientation on FYUGP NEP 2020 (Four Year Undergraduate Program – National Education Policy 2020) was conducted by Dr Lanurenla, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of English.
Dr Lendina, the college librarian, highlighted the essential aspects of the library during the orientation. She informed the students about the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) and N-LIST. NDLI is an all-digital library that houses a diverse range of educational resources, including books, articles, videos, theses, and other relevant materials, aimed at making digital educational content accessible to all learners.
The orientation was chaired by Dr Temjennaro, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, FAC.
