The Research and Development Cell (RDC) of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, organised a workshop on “Writing a Research Paper-I” at the college Conference Hall on Saturday.

The workshop aimed to promote research and strengthen academic writing skills among faculty and students. Delivering the keynote address, Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator Bendangsenla stressed the importance of teaching students research paper writing and encouraged faculty members to engage more actively in research and academic writing. Vice Principal L.S. Vinod Kumar also emphasised the need for increased research and publication among faculty.
Five faculty members conducted sessions covering key aspects of research writing. Dr E. Benrithung Patton spoke on “Understanding Research and Scientific Research”; Dr P. Tia Mollier on “Role of Empiricism in Academic Research”; Dr Adangla Changkija on “Literature Review: Concepts and Methods”; Dr J. Limainla Ao on “Preparing an Effective Abstract and Selecting Keywords”; and Dr Jnanendra Sarma on “Writing a Research Report/Paper.”
The sessions were followed by a question-and-answer session. Dr Temjennaro Jamir delivered the concluding remarks, while Dr Imwapangla Imsong served as rapporteur.
