Mokokchung, 28 February (MTNews): Fazl Ali College Mokokchung kick started their annual sports week on 28 February at FAC ground, Chuchuyimpang village, Mokokchung. Before the commencement of the sports, a brief inaugural program was held where Vinod Kumar, Vice-Principal, FAC was the guest of honor.
The Vice-principal in his speech called for a disciplined event and stated that the sports event should invigorate strength, unity and friendship within the students’ community and wished all the teams the best.
At the inaugural program, Asensor Jamir, General Secretary, Fazl Ali College Students’ Union (FACSU) gave the welcome address while the oath taking was initiated by Sentichuba Jamir, Asst. Games & Sports Secretary, FACSU. The Mokokchung District Martial Art Association also exhibited martial arts at the inaugural program.
The sports week will feature various outdoor and indoor games and also indigenous games. The competitions will be held between four houses: Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Air Nomads, and Water Tribe. The event will conclude on 1 March.
