Mokokchung, 26 August (MTNews): Fazl Ali College conducted its annual College Students’ Union (FACSU) Election for the 2023-2024 session on 25 August. The election was conducted through the secret ballot system in a peaceful and orderly manner managed by the teaching faculty where the students voted for their preferred candidates. Subsequently, the candidates with the most votes were then screened by the teachers for various executive posts.

Further, it was decided that the Principal, who also holds the position of FACSU President, was to nominate candidates for the vacant posts of Vice President and Magazine Secretary, positions that remained unfilled after the election.
The Students’ union is an important part of the college, serving as a platform for students to voice their concerns and collaborate towards creating an impact.
A high voter turnout marked the election, and the result received unanimous acceptance from all parties involved.
The result of the election for the following posts was declared as:
1)      General Secretary – Asensor Jamir(BA 3rd Semester)
2)      Assistant General Secretary – Andrew W Ngullie (BSc 3rd Semester)
3)      Games and Sports Secretary – Tolibo (BA 5th Semester)
4)      Assistant Games and Sports Secretary – Sentichuba (BA 1st Semester)
5)      Social Service Secretary – Moatemsu R Ao (BA 3rd Semester)
6)      Assistant Social Service Secretary – Imlimenla Ao (BSc 1st Semester)
7)      Fine Arts and Literary Secretary – Vivono Luho (BA 3rd Semester)
8)      Assistant Fine Arts and Literary Secretary – Imtilong (BA 1st Semester)
9)      Assistant Magazine Secretary – Kinivi M Kinny (BA 5th Semester)
10)    Boys Welfare Secretary – Aosen Amer (BSc 5th Semester)
11)    Girls Welfare Secretary – Nochetinla (BSc 5th Semester)
