The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), through its Ministry of Rali Wali (MIP), has issued an official clarification denying reports of the Naga Army uniting on a common ground between NSCN (K) Major General (Retd) Ang Mai and NNC/FGN Brigadier (Retd.) S Singnya, Kedhage, at Shaplao Shao Village under Lahe Township, Myanmar.
In a statement, the FGN categorically refuted claims that the Naga Army factions had come to a common understanding during the purported meeting on January 14, 2025. It asserted that NNC/FGN, under the leadership of Brigadier (Retd) S Singnya, Kedhage, had never authorized or entrusted any individual or entity to engage in discussions at the government level with any political group, particularly those that have not entered into a ceasefire agreement with the Government of India.
Dismissing the reports as “false, misleading, and without any official sanction,” the FGN declared that it considers the viral news circulating in both print and social media as “null and void.”
The statement was issued by Selithre Sangtam, Killo (Home) Secretary, FGN.
