Post Matric Scholarship to 43,424 ST Students of Nagaland during 2021-22
Mokokchung, February 7 (MTNews): Ministry of Tribal Affairs provides financial assistance to the Tribal students to pursue higher education inter-alia in Engineering, technology and science under the Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students, National Fellowship & Scholarship for Higher Education for ST Students, and National Overseas Scholarship for ST students for studying abroad. This was stated in a written reply by Union Tribal Affairs Minister, Arjun Munda, in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
As per the reply, the ministry has released a Post Matric Scholarship to 43,424 ST Students of Nagaland during 2021-22. It was also mentioned that the number of beneficiaries of Post Matric Scholarship during the years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 were 38380, 40164 and 37183 respectively.
Under the scheme of “National Overseas Scholarships to STs for higher studies abroad”, it was informed that the Ministry provides financial assistance to students for pursuing higher studies abroad, in the institutes and the courses of their choice.
