Mumbai, 14 April (MTNews): Five young football talents from Dimapur Sporting Club (DSC) have been selected to undergo training in Germany. The selected players are Lalminkai, Nitoka, Asa, Sehboigin, and Kaiminlen.
The opportunity includes free accommodation and sponsorship for a three-week training program in Germany.
This selection follows earlier success, where 12 players from Nagaland were chosen for Bundesliga U-13 trials at the national level where the final trials were held at the Titans turf in Mumbai on April 13 and 14.
The selection process in Nagaland occurred during a two-day football trial organized by Dimapur Sporting Club in collaboration with Big Hit and Bundesliga International.
Held at the Astro Turf Football ground, Police Complex, Chümoukedima, the event was part of the Bundesliga Dream initiative aimed at identifying and scouting young football talent across India.
Looking ahead, Dimapur Sporting Club has announced plans for future selection trials, including opportunities for Under-16 players to participate in trials for FC Bayern Youth Club starting in June this year.
