Food safety training for FBOs held under FoSTaC in Mokokchung Zone

Food Safety Mokokchung Zone organized a Food Safety Training & Certification (FoSTaC) program for Food Business Operators (FBOs) on 24th April at the CMO Conference Hall, Mokokchung. Sukumlo Yanthan, Food Safety Officer and chairperson of the event, informed that the training was aimed at FBOs involved in operating bakeries, restaurants, cafes, hotels, and home-based food manufacturing units.


Dr. Sentizungla Marina Yaden, Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, and I. Tali Longkumer, Councillor, Mokokchung Municipal Council, encouraged the Food Business Operators to utilize the knowledge gained from the training to improve the delivery of quality services to consumers in the district.

FSSAI FoSTaC Master Trainer Anup Kumar Tewari trained the FBOs on good hygiene and manufacturing practices, as per the requirements outlined in Schedule 4 of the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration) Regulations, 2011.

A live demonstration and sensitization session on common food adulterants was conducted by Food Technicians Moangbenla Jamir and Hamche Phom of the Food Safety on Wheels, Mokokchung Zone. IEC materials were also distributed to the FBOs.
