Mokokchung, March 20 (MTNews): A five day long Free Cataract Surgery Eye Camp organized by the National Program for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) Nagaland, which began on 14 March, concluded on 18 March 2023 at IMDH Mokokchung.
Dr Phyantsuthung, Consultant Eye Specialist, District Hospital Tuensang, conducted 23 cataract surgeries for 18 patients during the camp. Meanwhile, a team led by Dr Renjano N Okhyopvui, Medical Officer, IMDH, Mokokchung screened a total of 160 patients above the age of 40 for cataract as well as glaucoma during the camp.
The camp was organized in the interest of public service and extended a hand towards providing free cataract surgery for the needy.
