Kohima, March 13 (MTNews): A free heart disease screening for children within the age group from 0-18 years will be conducted at the Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima on the 26th of March 2022.
According to a circular by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the free heart screening is an initiative of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) of National Health Mission in collaboration with Shija Hospitals and Research Institute Pvt. Ltd (SHRIPL), Imphal, Manipur.
Children detected with heart diseases will be referred to Shija Hospitals Imphal for treatment and management, and will be provided financial assistance under RBSK program as per its Model costing, the circular said.
