The District Food and Civil Supplies Office, Mokokchung, has issued a public notice informing residents about the availability of 25 lakh new LPG connections under the extended phase of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). The initiative has been rolled out by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to cover eligible households across the country that have not yet availed the scheme.

In the notice, District Civil Supply Officer N Jamonger Ao stated that the fresh connections would be issued on a “first come, first served” basis. It was informed that the scheme is “meant exclusively for eligible households who have not yet availed the scheme.”

Applicants must be women above 18 years of age, and the household should not already have an LPG connection. Eligible families that meet the criteria are urged to apply without delay to avoid missing the opportunity. “All eligible households who meet the eligibility criteria but have not yet registered under PMUY are encouraged to apply at the earliest,” the notice said.

Application forms are available at respective LPG agencies in the district. Beneficiaries may also approach the District Food and Civil Supplies Office, Mokokchung, or the respective PDC in-charge for the sub-divisions of Mangkolemba, Tuli, Longchem, Kubolong, Changtongya, Chuchuyimlang and Alongkima for assistance.
