The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Atsungba Walling, inaugurated the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at the Town Hall, Mokokchung, on 20th January 2026.

Walling encouraged the public to visit the event to support both local and national artisans and to experience the rich cultural heritage displayed through these handmade works.

The exhibition and sale will run for seven days, from 20th to 26th January 2026. Residents and visitors can attend daily between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

This prestigious event aims to provide a platform for artisans from across India to showcase their craftsmanship. The bazaar will feature a diverse range of authentic handicrafts and handloom products, offering the people of Mokokchung a unique opportunity to witness and purchase traditional arts directly from the creators.
