Mokokchung, October 20 (MTNews): G. Kaito Aye, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperation, unveiled the memorial plaque of General K. Zuheto Swu Memorial Hall in Satakha, Zunheboto on October 20, 2022.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, G. Kaito stated that the hall is named in honour of Late Gen. K. Zuheto Swu KC, VSM, Retd. DIG-BSF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, for his outstanding contributions and selfless services to the welfare of Satakha people.

 

He also mentioned that the name of the Hall was endorsed by the Satakha Area GB Association in consultation with district administration.

 

Kaito said that Late Gen. K. Zuheto Swu’s good deeds and sacrifices will live on in the hearts of the people. He asked the family of Late Gen K. Zuheto Swu for their continued support and participation in building and developing a better Satakha. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Satakha Area GB’s Association for endorsing this project and providing support in honouring Satakha’s pioneers and leaders. He later stated that the building was built under the LADP Scheme, Iconic Project.

 

In his speech, ADC Zunheboto urged the public to take care of the hall because it is public property and a blessing to the people of the area. He stated that the hall would be overseen by the Satakha Administration and asked for the public’s cooperation.

 

Khevili Z. Swu, late General Zuheto Swu’s wife, expressed her hope that the hall will be a blessing to the people of the area, adding that good deeds never go unnoticed.

 

The program, which was chaired by President NDPP 36A/C Satakha, Edward Muru, was attended by District Administration of Zunheboto and Satakha, as well as public leaders. Rev. Kughato Chophy, Pastor of STBC (Nito Mount), offered a dedicatory prayer for the hall. The welcome message was delivered by SDO(C) Satakha.
