The Sports Week of Government Higher Secondary School Kiphire, which kicked off on August 1, concluded today with overall excitement and satisfaction from participants and teachers at Public Ground Kiphire.
Addressing the gathering on the first day, the school principal offered words of encouragement to the students and teachers. He emphasized that sports are not just about winning or losing but about the journey, learning, and growth. “Every drop of sweat, every tear, and every triumph is a testament to your hard work and perseverance,” he said.
The principal expressed his gratitude to the teachers and coaches for their tireless efforts in guiding and mentoring the students. He also thanked the parents for their unwavering support and encouragement, stating, “Your presence here today means the world to our students, and we are grateful for your partnership in their educational journey.”
Overall, there were four houses competing against one another in various sports events, including volleyball, football, 100-meter race, relay race, javelin throw, badminton, and more.
Green House emerged as the champions in football, with Yellow House as the runners-up. The overall champion of the Sports Week 2024 was Blue House, followed by Yellow House and Green House. Red House was recognized as the best-disciplined house for their exemplary display of discipline during the sports week.
The sports week concluded with a prize distribution ceremony to honor individual winners and groups, followed by a bonfire and torch-bearing ceremony, marking the end of a memorable event.
