Government Middle School, Alempang, Mokokchung celebrated its Cultural Day on the theme “Embracing Diveristy.” The event featured a range of performances showcasing the rich heritage, with a focus on both traditional and modern cultural expressions.
Bendang, Chairman of the School Management Committee (SMC), delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the significance of Cultural Day in preserving and promoting indigenous traditions among younger generations. He highlighted the importance of understanding one’s roots while embracing modernity.
The celebration included performances of Ao modern cultural dances, traditional Konyak dances and traditional attire display, offering a glimpse into the diverse cultural practices of Nagaland. The vote of thanks was pronounced by I Tiamongla, Head teacher, GMS, Alempang.
