Mokokchung, 29 September (MTNews): With the objective of fostering confidence and safety through self-defense education, GMS Marepkong organized a one-day self-defense training for its students on 29 September 2023 with Rongsentoshi Jamir, president of Mokokchung District Martial Arts Association (MDMAA) and Sensei Imyuangdang as the resource persons/trainers.
The president of MDMAA shared a brief highlight about the association while sensei Imyuangdang demonstrated his martial arts skills with different weapons.
Later, hands-on training on basic self-defense education was taught to the students. “The school recognizes the value of empowering students with knowledge and techniques to protect themselves and above all, to build self confidence in the student,” an update shared by the school said.
The activity was held as part of the 10 bagless days as envisaged in NEP 2020.
