Mokokchung, 18 September (MTNews): With the support from the Lighthouse-NECTAR Project, 72 students and 14 teachers from GMS Senkalemba, Arkong Ward, Mokokchung visited State Agriculture Research Station (SARS), Yisemyong and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung, Yisemyong on 18 September 2023.
The purpose of these visits was to facilitate experiential and contextual learning, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of farming, the production of food from seed to table, and teaching the school children essential life skills.
The remarkable environment at both locations, characterized by enthusiastic staff and exceptional leadership, effectively enlightened both students and teachers alike.
Moreover, the NECTAR project played a pivotal role in turning the vision of this educational excursion into a reality, significantly enhancing the quality of learning outcomes for both students and teachers.
