The Home Department of the Government of Nagaland has extended invitation for recommendations for the Governor’s Gold Medals and Commendation Certificates on the momentous occasion of Republic Day 2024, slated for the 26 January.

The call for recommendations is open until the 8 of December 2023, and interested parties are urged to adhere to the specified guidelines outlined by the authorities. The following key points elucidate the submission process:

· Detailed information concerning the recommended candidates must be provided in the format outlined in Annexure-A. Notably, recommendations and citations should be concise, not exceeding one page of A4 size.

· For Gazetted Officers, recommendations and citations are to be submitted through the respective Head of Department. The Administrative Head is mandated to sign and forward the submissions to the Special Secretary of the Home Department.

· Head of Department for Non-Gazetted Staff is required to directly sign and forward the recommendations and citations to the Special Secretary, Home Department.

· Personnel in Police, Home Guards, Prisons, and Fire Services must channel their recommendations through their respective Director Generals or Heads of the Department.

· All recommendations and citations must reach the Special Secretary, Home Department, by the stipulated deadline.

· Both hard and soft copies of the recommendations and citations, duly signed by the recommending authority, should be forwarded along with the Annexure.

· Deputy Commissioners hold the responsibility of submitting recommendations for NGOs, individuals, and employees under their Establishment. The Commissioner of Nagaland is expected to sign and transmit these recommendations to the Special Secretary, Home Department.
