The Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, graced the flagging ceremony of the National Integration Tour at the Kohima Garrison Assam Rifles on 18 February 2025. Organized by the 13 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR North, the tour had brought together 16 students and 4 teachers from various colleges in Kohima.
The Governor expressed his delight in attending the event and shared his appreciation for the tour, which began on 4th February and concluded on the 18th. The group visited vibrant cities such as Mumbai, Pune, and the scenic beaches of Goa. Reflecting on the experiences, the Governor highlighted the profound impact the tour had on the students, encouraging them to appreciate India’s rich cultural diversity and shared values.
He praised the Assam Rifles for their commitment to promoting national integration and unity, acknowledging their dedication in organizing the event. The Governor urged more students and teachers to participate in similar initiatives to foster mutual respect and unity, adding that such tours play a crucial role in bridging gaps and nurturing national pride.
