The union government has increased the LPG subsidy per cylinder by 100 rupees for Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries. Announcing this development in New Delhi today, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur highlighted that the Union Cabinet has approved a substantial hike in the LPG subsidy. It will now stand at 300 rupees per cylinder, up from the previous 200 rupees, for those benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
