The Crime Suppression Department (CSD) of GPRN/NSCN (Kitovi) successfully intercepted a Tata Ace truck loaded with illegal substances at Bata Charali recently, a press release from the MIP of the GPRN/NSCN said today.
Acting on reliable information, the CSD team stopped the truck at approximately 11:30 AM. The vehicle was found to be carrying large quantities of addictive substances, including Guthka and banned codeine cough syrup, reportedly intended for distribution in the market belonging to an individual named Santosh.
The CSD Team then invited some social activists such as the Diphupar Naga Youth Organization and Diphupar Naga Student Union to dispose off the banned items along with the GPRN/NSCN officials, it said.
