The 34th Foundation Day of the Gorkha Youth Association Kohima (GYAK) was observed through a charity visit to the Destitute Children Home on May 27.
The team, led by president Narayan Bahadur along with vice president Kiran Gurung and treasurer Robi Thapa, donated cash assistance and essential supplies including rice, dal, eggs, cooking oil and soaps for the children.
A brief interaction programme was also held with Kevileno Chadi and the children during the visit.
Speaking on the occasion, Narayan Bahadur said the initiative was aimed at supporting those in need while encouraging the children to remain hopeful and committed to their future.
GYAK also appreciated Chadi for her dedication in running the home. Chadi shared that the institution was formally registered in 2018 to provide shelter, care and support for underprivileged children.
