The 3rd Nagaland Photography Festival 2024 is set to be held in Yimchalu village, Mokokchung, promising an engaging line-up of events and activities. Scheduled to take place from September 19-21, the festival aims to promote tourism and showcase Mokokchung’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty. The festival is organized by the Photography Club Dimapur in collaboration with Yimchalu village.

Meyisanger Lemtur, the festival convener, stated that approximately 300 photographers from both domestic and mainland India are expected to participate. In addition to photography, he mentioned that there will be many other activities.

According to Lemtur, internationally renowned camera companies such as Canon, Nikon, and Lumix will be hosting workshops and providing services throughout the festival.

“Photography enthusiasts will have the opportunity to learn from renowned international photographers, enhancing their skills and gaining new perspectives on the art of photography,” he said.

Lemtur also noted that more than 30 artists are scheduled to perform over the three nights. In addition, the festival will feature cosplay, cultural displays, a photo exhibition, a photography contest, a kids’ corner, airsoft, stalls, an automotive display, workshops, and seminars to enhance the festival atmosphere.

He added that this year’s festival will also introduce several new activities, including a futsal tournament, angling, and the promotion and introduction of the darts game by the Nagaland Darts Association.

  1. Thanks for this excellent article. One more thing to mention is that a lot of digital cameras are available equipped with the zoom lens that allows more or less of that scene to become included by way of ‘zooming’ in and out. Most of these changes in the aim length are usually reflected from the viewfinder and on significant display screen right on the back of the very camera.
