Mokokchung, June 11 (MTNews): Mourning the tragic demise of Late Ms. Mapuienla Longkumer, student of St. Joseph University, Chumoukedima from Ungma village, who lost her life in a hit and run case on 26 May 2022, the Watsü Mungdang Ungma Unit said that the “cruel act of a reckless driver has led to the loss of a precious life for whom we can now only pray and seek for justice.”
“The Watsü Mungdang Ungma Unit sends solidarity to all the student organizations, community and associations who are fighting for justice for our beloved daughter and sister,” president Yimyangerla Jamir and general secretary Chubasenla Longkumer said in a press release.
They further urged the law enforcing agencies involved in the investigation to take it seriously and book the culprit at the earliest. “The culprit should be booked and punished as per the law so that such incidents will be averted in the days to come,” they said.
The Watsü Mungdang Ungma Unit also extended condolences to the family and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace.
